Post Publication Discussions

Post-Publication Discussion Policy

1. Policy Statement

Agroscience, published by Universitas Suryakancana (UNSUR), encourages constructive scholarly discussion and scientific exchange following the publication of research articles. The journal recognizes that post-publication discussion contributes to the development of scientific knowledge, promotes transparency, and helps maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

Agroscience welcomes responsible feedback, comments, and academic discussions concerning articles published in the journal.

2. Submission of Post-Publication Comments

Readers, researchers, and other members of the academic community may submit comments or scholarly feedback regarding articles published in Agroscience.

Submissions should:

  • Be relevant to a previously published article in Agroscience.
  • Present clear, evidence-based, and scientifically justified arguments.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful tone.
  • Include appropriate references to support scientific claims.
  • Avoid personal attacks, defamatory statements, or unsupported allegations.

Comments should contribute meaningfully to scientific discussion and the advancement of knowledge.

3. Editorial Assessment

All submissions intended for publication as post-publication comments are subject to editorial assessment.

The editorial team will evaluate whether a submission is relevant, scientifically justified, respectful, and consistent with the journal's publication ethics policies.

Where appropriate, the editor may consult independent experts or invite the original article's authors to respond to the comments.

The journal reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet its editorial and ethical standards.

4. Authors' Right to Respond

When a post-publication comment raises substantive questions about a published article, the original authors may be invited to provide a response.

The journal aims to provide a fair opportunity for authors to clarify their findings, address criticisms, and contribute to a balanced scholarly discussion.

Responses may be published alongside the original comments, subject to editorial approval.

5. Corrections and Retractions

If post-publication discussions identify credible concerns regarding the accuracy, reliability, or ethical integrity of a published article, the editorial team will assess the concerns in accordance with the journal's Correction and Retraction Policy.

Depending on the findings, the journal may issue a correction, publish an editorial notice, initiate further investigation, or retract the article when justified.

Post-publication comments alone do not automatically result in the correction or retraction of an article.

6. Ethical Standards

All participants in post-publication discussions are expected to follow principles of academic integrity, fairness, transparency, and professional conduct.

Agroscience does not tolerate harassment, discriminatory language, deliberate misrepresentation, or knowingly false allegations.

The journal will handle concerns objectively and take appropriate action to protect the integrity of scholarly communication.

7. Editorial Responsibility

The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team are responsible for managing post-publication discussions and determining whether comments or responses are suitable for publication.

Editorial decisions will be based on scholarly relevance, the quality of the evidence presented, and compliance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

Agroscience is committed to fostering an open, respectful, and constructive environment for scholarly discussion after publication.
