ABSTRAK
Isu Pembangunan Pembangkit Tenaga Listrik Panas Bumi (PLTP) di Cianjur sangat ramai diperbincangkan masyarakat Cianjur. Tujuan dilaksanakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) untuk menemukan kebutuhan-kebutuhan masyarakat dari segi kondisi sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan Teknik observasi dan wawancara, dimana melibatkan dosen dari Fakultas Sains Terapan Universitas Suryakancana, para perangkat desa beserta dengan masyarakat desa dan stakeholder mitra PT. Daya Mas Geopatra Pangrango. Hasil dari proses FGD ramainya penolakan yang terjadi dalam isu pembangunan PLTP di Cianjur disebabkan karena biaya penggantian atas pembebasan lahan untuk pelebaran jalan di Desa Cipendawa belum mencapai titik temu, belum adanya sosialisasi ke masyarakat langsung baik dari pihak pemerintah pusat kabupaten dan kecamatan maupun dari pihak perusahaan/ investor sehingga menimbulkan isu yang bertebaran yang dimanfaatkan sekelompok orang, kekhawatiran para petani penggarap yang menggarap dilahan Taman Nasional Gunung Gede Pangrango serta kegiatan usaha lainnya yang akan hilang seiring dengan isu pembangunan tersebut serta kekhawatiran akan dampak lingkungan bagi proke tersebut.
ABSTRACT
The development of the Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) in Cianjur is widely discussed among the local community. The purpose of conducting a Focus Group Discussion is to identify the needs of the community in terms of their social, economic, and cultural conditions. The implementation method involves quantitative descriptive analysis using observation and interview techniques, which involve lecturers from Adapt Science Suryakancana University, village officials, the local community, and stakeholders from PT. Daya Mas Geopatra Pangrango. The results of the FGD process indicate a significant rejection of the PLTP development in Cianjur due to the unresolved issue of land compensation for road widening in Cipendawa Village. Additionally, there has been a lack of direct communication and public awareness efforts from both the central government, district, and sub-district level, as well as from the company/investor, resulting in widespread concerns exploited by certain individuals. These concerns include the worries of farmers who cultivate land in the Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park and the potential loss of other business activities due to the development issue. There are also concerns regarding the environmental impact of the project.
