Representasi Isu Lingkungan dalam Dongeng Anak Nusantara: Kajian Ekokritik Greg Garrard pada "Antologi Panji Setaman"

This article examines environmental issues in Panji Setaman: Kumpulan Dongeng Nusantara through Greg Garrard’s ecocritical perspective. Using a descriptive qualitative method and content analysis, the study identifies words, phrases, clauses, sentences, and narrative fragments that represent ecological issues and classifies them into Garrard’s six tropes: animals, wilderness, dwelling, pollution, apocalypse, and earth. The findings show that all six tropes appear in the anthology, with animals, dwelling, and wilderness as the most dominant. Animals are portrayed as ethical subjects and ecological partners; wilderness as a source of life and a testing ground; and dwelling as a relational way of living connected to home, yard, river, and community. Pollution and apocalypse highlight the consequences of ecological neglect, while earth emphasizes land and water as the basis of survival and targets of exploitation. Ideologically, the anthology promotes a relational environmental ethic and supports ecological literacy in children’s literature learning.
ABSTRAK
Artikel ini mengkaji isu-isu lingkungan dalam Panji Setaman: Kumpulan Dongeng Nusantara melalui perspektif ekokritik Greg Garrard. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan analisis isi, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi kata, frasa, klausa, kalimat, dan fragmen naratif yang mewakili isu-isu ekologis dan mengklasifikasikannya ke dalam enam trope Garrard: hewan, alam liar, tempat tinggal, polusi, kiamat, dan bumi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa keenam trope tersebut muncul dalam antologi, dengan hewan, tempat tinggal, dan alam liar sebagai yang paling dominan. Hewan digambarkan sebagai subjek etis dan mitra ekologis; alam liar sebagai sumber kehidupan dan medan uji; dan tempat tinggal sebagai cara hidup relasional yang terhubung dengan rumah, halaman, sungai, dan komunitas. Polusi dan kiamat menyoroti konsekuensi dari pengabaian ekologis, sementara bumi menekankan tanah dan air sebagai dasar kelangsungan hidup dan target eksploitasi. Secara ideologis, antologi ini mempromosikan etika lingkungan relasional dan mendukung literasi ekologis dalam pembelajaran sastra anak.
