Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism and Research Misconduct
JJ does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication or falsification in any form. Every manuscript is checked with similarity-detection software (Turnitin) at submission and again before publication; the similarity report is read by an editor, not judged by the percentage alone.
Forms of misconduct include:
- Plagiarism: using another person's words, ideas, arguments or legal analysis without proper attribution, including translating a foreign-language source without citation.
- Self-plagiarism / text recycling: reusing substantial parts of one's own published work without citation and disclosure.
- Fabrication: inventing data, interview results, court decisions or legal sources.
- Falsification: manipulating or selectively reporting data or legal materials so that the record is misrepresented.
- Citation manipulation: excessive self-citation or citation arranged to inflate metrics.
