The APC covers the cost of processing the article, namely:

  • language editing and layout according to the JJ template;
  • similarity checking;
  • DOI registration through Crossref;
  • online publication, indexing and long-term archiving;
  • maintenance of the OJS system and hosting of the journal website.

The fee applies per article, regardless of the number of authors or pages within the set manuscript length.

2. Payment Terms

  1. When the fee is charged. An invoice, together with the payment account details, is sent to the corresponding author by email with the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) once the manuscript is accepted. JJ never asks for payment before an acceptance decision.
  2. Payment deadline. Payment is due within 14 days of receiving the LoA. The article is scheduled for publication once payment is confirmed.
  3. Payment method. Payment is made by bank transfer to the journal's official account stated in the LoA. Proof of transfer is uploaded through OJS or sent to the editorial email, quoting the submission ID.
  4. Refunds. Fees are non-refundable once the article is published. If an article is not published because of an editorial decision made after payment, the fee is refunded in full. Articles withdrawn by the author after payment are handled under the Article Retraction & Withdrawal policy.
  5. Fee waivers. Authors facing financial hardship may apply to the Editor-in-Chief for a full or partial waiver at submission. Requests are assessed separately from peer review and do not affect editorial decisions.
  6. Editorial independence. Payment of the fee, or the granting of a waiver, does not influence the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript, in line with JJ's Publication Ethics policy.

Bank account. Account details are provided to authors only with the LoA. JJ is not responsible for payments made to any account other than the one stated in an official JJ LoA; please confirm with the editorial email if you receive a suspicious payment request.
