Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Rintisan Kampung Wisata Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Di Kampung Tulima, Provinsi Papua Pegunungan

Abstrak
Pengabdian ini menggali potensi wisata berbasis kearifan lokal dan partisipasi masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui secara mendalam pemahaman masyarakat di Kampung Tulima, Distrik Welesi, Kabupaten Jayawijaya, tentang kawasan-kawasan yang potensial dijadikan sebagai daya tarik wisata, dan kemudian dapat dioptimalkan untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pengabdian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan yang dapat membantu Kampung Tulima untuk mencapai pertumbuhan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan dalam kepariwisataan. Potensi wisata di Kampung Tulima menyuguhkan pemandangan rumput mei dengan latar perbukitan, sungai yang masih alami, hingga arsitektur tradisional berbasis kearifan lokal yang dapat memikat para wisatawan. Ini juga menampilkan kekayaan dan keragaman budaya masyarakat Tulima, seperti tradisi bakar batu yang hanya terdapat di beberapa wilayah di Papua. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksploratif partisipatif, yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan utama, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Metode ini dipilih untuk mengidentifikasi dan menggali potensi lokal serta meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan Kampung Wisata Tulima secara bertahap dan berkelanjutan. Pengabdian ini menemukan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat di Kampung Tulima sudah optimal. Masyarakat berkontribusi dalam pengembangan daya tarik wisata di Kampung Tulima. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi faktor pendorong partisipasi masyarakat yang meliputi kemauan, kemampuan, dan peluang. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa Kampung Tulima mempunyai potensi wisata yang tinggi dan partisipasi masyarakat yang kuat sehingga dapat mendukung pengembangannya sebagai daerah tujuan wisata.
Abstract
This community service project explores tourism potential based on local wisdom and community participation to gain a deeper understanding of the community in Tulima Village, Welesi District, Jayawijaya Regency, regarding potential tourist attractions, and then optimizing them for community welfare. This service project is also expected to provide insight and knowledge to help Tulima Village achieve sustainable growth and development in tourism. The tourism potential in Tulima Village offers views of mei grass with a hilly backdrop, pristine rivers, and traditional architecture based on local wisdom that can attract tourists. It also showcases the richness and diversity of the Tulima community's culture, such as the stone-burning tradition found only in several regions in Papua. The method used in this community service activity is a participatory exploratory approach, which is implemented in three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. This method was chosen to identify and explore local potential and increase community participation in the gradual and sustainable development of Tulima Tourism Village. This service found that community participation in Tulima Village is optimal. The community contributes to the development of tourist attractions in Tulima Village. This study also identified factors driving community participation, including willingness, ability, and opportunity. The results concluded that Tulima Village has high tourism potential and strong community participation, which can support its development as a tourist destination.
