MODEL PERTUMBUHAN IKAN LAYUR (Trichiurus lepturus Linnaeus, 1758) DI PALABUHANRATU, JAWA BARAT

Sebanyak 4737 ikan digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menentukan umur dan
pertumbuhan ikan layur, Trichiurus lepturus dengan menggunakan analisis distribusi frekuensi
panjang. Sampel ikan diperoleh dari hasil tangkapan nelayan di Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi.
Hubungan panjang berat ikan menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan allometrik, W 2 10 4TL3.2428 ï€ ï€½ ï‚´
(jantan), 4 3.6664 W 10 TL ï€ ï€½ (betina), dan 4 3.2895 W 2 10 TL ï€ ï€½ ï‚´ (gabungan jantan dan betina). Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur ikan layur mencapai delapan tahun dengan model
pertumbuhan digambarkan dengan model exponensial dari von Bertalanfy   0.13( ) 125.15 1 t
tl eï€ ï€½ ï€ .
Laju pertumbuhan sesaat terbesar terjadi pada tahun pertama, yaitu sebesar 13.94 cm per tahun.
