The following is a brief history of Jurnal Hukum Mimbar Justitia:

1. Establishment as Law Journal of the Faculty of Law, Suryakancana University: Jurnal Mimbar Justitia was initially established under the name of Journal of Law, Faculty of Law, Suryakancana University. This journal is a scientific publication that focuses on legal topics relevant to the scope of the Faculty of Law of Suryakancana University.
2. Change of Name to Mimbar Keadilan Law Journal: Later, the journal underwent a name change to Jurnal Hukum Mimbar Keadilan. This change may reflect the evolution of the journal's focus or approach to publishing.
3. Change of ISSN: Along with the name change, the journal also underwent an ISSN change. The initial ISSN was 1693-7546, then changed to 2089-7618, and finally to 2477-5681. The change in ISSN reflects the administrative process that usually occurs in the management of scientific journals.
4. Change of Format to Online Edition: Journal Vol. 3 No. 1 June 2017 Edition marks the beginning of the format change to an online edition with ISSN 2580-0906. This change reflects adaptation to the development of information technology and the need for better accessibility for journal readers.
5. SINTA 4 Accreditation (2019-2023): Jurnal Hukum Mimbar Justitia successfully achieved SINTA 4 accreditation from 2019 to 2023. This shows recognition of the quality and contribution of the journal in the development of legal science.
6. Quality Improvement: In early 2024, after the SINTA 4 accreditation period expired, the leadership of the Faculty of Law of Suryakancana University decided to improve the quality of Mimbar Justitia Law Journal. The steps taken included overhauling the journal's management, improving the journal's appearance, improving the writing systematic, as well as improving the manuscript template to comply with the latest accreditation standards.

With these steps, it is hoped that the journal can remain relevant and of high quality in presenting scientific works in the field of law.
