Framing Pembunuhan Wanita Hamil di Gunungkidul oleh "Republika" dan "Kompas"

Abstrak

This article discusses the framing of the murder of a pregnant woman that occurred in Gunung Kidul which was toppled from the top of a coastal cliff. The murder occurred because the victim RN (25) refused to have an abortion as a result of his actions with ER (24). This study uses the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M Koscki framing analysis model. This model assumes that, every news has a frame that functions as the center of the organization of ideas. The media studied were online media "Republika" and "Kompas". The data collection technique used is listening and note-taking techniques. The research object is in the form of news text. The results of the study show that although on the whole the two media use simple words in packaging the news, the framing of the murder incident by the two online media has differences and similarities. The difference can be seen from the picture shown. “Republika” only displays illustrations while “Kompas” displays images of the two perpetrators of the murder at the Gunung Kidul Police Headquarters. The syntactic structure of "Republika" and "Kompas" have something in common, namely explaining clearly and in accordance with the analysis of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki.

ABSTRAK

Artikel ini membahas framing pembunuhan  wanita hamil yang terjadi di Gunung Kidul yang digulingkan dari atas tebing pantai. Pembunuhan  terjadi karena korban RN (25) menolak  menggugurkan kandungan sebagai hasil dari perbuatannya  dengan ER (24).  Penelitian menggunakan model analisis framing Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M Koscki. Model  ini berasumsi bahwa, setiap berita mempunyai frame yang berfungsi sebagai pusat organisasi    ide. Media  yang ditelaah yaitu media online “Republika” dan “Kompas”.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah teknik menyimak dan mencatat. Objek penelitian berupa teks berita.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan meski secara keseluruhan kedua media ini memakai kata-kata sederhana dalam mengemas berita, framing peristiwa pembunuhan itu oleh kedua media onlne itu memiliki perbedaan dan persamaan. Perbedaannya terlihat dari gambar yang ditampilkan. “Republika” hanya menampilkan gambar ilustrasi sedangkan “Kompas” menampilkan gambar dua orang pelaku pembunuhan  di Mapolres Gunung Kidul. Struktur sintaksis, “Republika” dan “Kompas” memiliki kesamaan,  yaitu menjelaskan dengan jelas dan sesuai dengan analisis  Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki.
