Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

JOEPALLT seeks to publish research reports, articles, discussion, case and comparative studies, expert commentaries, and perspectives that are most influential from all field related to English teaching, applied linguistics, and literature in particular and education in general. Selected papers should present robust, reliable and broadly important data, syntheses, or concepts.

There are some guidelines that should be followed by prospective authors:

  1. Article length is 10 pages minimun and 15 pages maximum (4000-8000 words), including bibliography and appendices;

  2. Abstract and its keywords as many as 5-7 words are included;

  3. The article may be written by four persons maximum and it should be written in English or Indonesian;

  4. Attach a bio mentioning authors current profession, newest photograph, and e-mail addresses.

  5. Applied in OJS;

  6. Referencing by Mendeley Application.

 

The article must adhere the following outline:

  • Title (concise, clear and interesting)
  • Name of author

  • E-mail Address

  • Affiliation

  • Abstract (including keywords)

  • Introduction

  • Theoretical Frameworks

  • Method

  • Findings and Discussion

  • Result

  • References

Prospective authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy and recently of the factual content of their contributions. Author(s) must also ensure the originality of the manuscript. In other words, the manuscript must be completed with written acknowledgement that the article has not been published in any other journals.

Plagiarism covers the use of concept, ideas or words that have been published previously and it is absolutely prohibited.  Redundancy/self-plagiarism is also unacceptable. The language in the manuscript must be suitably edited and it covers 4000-8000 words (excluding tables, figures and references), if exceeded will be returned for editing.

The manuscripts should be sent at least 1 month prior to publication month (March and September) addressed to the editor of JOEPALLT. It is highly recommended to send the manuscript via e-mail to this address. All articles will be reviewed by the editor and the selected articles presentations will be notified of acceptance within two weeks after the submission. Published articles authors will receive 2 (two) exemplars of the journal. Unpublished articles will not be reassigned to the authors, unless on written request from the author.
