PENYULUHAN GENERASI MUDA KRISTEN MILENIAL YANG CERDAS MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA SOSIAL

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) di HKBP Duren Jaya merupakan implementasi dan keberlanjutan MoU antara Universitas Kristen Indonesia dengan HKBP Duren Jaya tahun 2020. Penilaian pimpinan gereja bahwa pembekalan seminar bagi peserta sidi dan orangtua sangat dibutuhkan karena menyeimbangkan materi dari gereja dan pengetahuan yang diberikan oleh pakar pendidikan. Selain itu pernyataan orangtua yang menyatakan memotivasi anak-anak agar menimba ilmu sampai ke tingkat pendidikan yang yang paling tinggi. PkM yang kami lakukan bertujuan sharing knowledge kepada peserta sidi dan orangtua peserta sidi agar peserta sidi dibekali juga pengetahuan tentang menggunakan media sosial yang cerdas. Responden PkM adalah peserta sidi dan orangtua peserta sidi. Teknik pengambilan responden dengan purposive sampling karena sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan program gereja. Sharing knowledge dilaksanakan dalam bentuk seminar dan tanya jawab. Hasil PkM adalah peserta sidi dan orangtua peserta sidi memperoleh pemahaman (1) kompetensi masa depan dan kompetensi era digital; (2) cerdas menggunakan media sosial; dan (3) mengetahui sanksi hukum bagi penyebaran hoax.


ABSTRACT

Community Service (PkM) at HKBP Duren Jaya is the implementation and MoU between the Universitas Kristen Indonesia and HKBP Duren Jaya, in the year 2020. The church leadership's assessment is that the provision of seminars for “pelajar sidi†and parents is very necessary because it balances material from the church and the knowledge provided by education experts. In addition, parental statements state the motivation of “pelajar sidi†to gain knowledge up to the highest level of education. The PKM that we do aims to share knowledge with “pelajar sidi†and their parents so that they are also equipped with knowledge about the smart use of social media. Respondents of PkM our study participants and their parents. The technique of taking respondents was purposive sampling because it was in accordance with the needs and programs of the church. Knowledge sharing is carried out in the form of seminars and questions and answers. The results of the PkM are that the study participants and their parents gain an understanding of (1) future competencies and digital era competencies; (2) smart use of social media; and (3) knowing the legal sanctions for the spread of hoaxes.
