Abstract


Cymbidium mosaic virus (CyMV) merupakan salah satu virus patogen yang dominan
menginfeksi tanaman anggrek di Dunia. Deteksi infeksi CyMV dapat dilakukan dengan metode
DAS-ELISA (Double Antibody Sandwich - Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay). Untuk
lebih memastikan lagi bahwa virus yang menginfeksi tanaman anggrek tersebut adalah CyMV,
maka dapat dilakukan pembedaan pola pita protein menggunakan metode Elektroforesis Gel
Komposit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membedakan pola pita protein tanaman anggrek
Dendrobium yang sehat atau bebas CyMV dengan pola pita tanaman yang sakit (terinfeksi
CyMV). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa analisis dengan teknik Elektroforesis Gel Komposit
dapat digunakan untuk membedakan pita protein CyMV pada tanaman dan plbs anggrek
Dendrobium yang sakit atau positif terinfeksi CyMV dengan tanaman atau plbs anggrek
Dendrobium yang sehat maupun plbs anggrek D. Jayakarta yang telah bebas CyMV dengan hasil
analisis bobot molekul protein CyMV berukuran sekitar 28 kDa.
