OPTIMIZING THE ABILITY TO WRITE EXPERIMENTAL REPORT TEXT USING AN AUDIO-VISUAL BASED LEARNING MODEL

Abstract


This research was motivated by the problem of writing the text of the experimental report where students were  difficult to string together the writing steps to be carried out, then the students were also still unable to develop sentences and write conclusions in the text of  the experimental report. The focus of this study aims to solve a problem related to writing the text of the experimental report  experienced by grade IX students at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Sumbersari. This research uses qualitative descriptive method where this method is used to develop first a fundamental assumption, then explain in detail what is made in a systematic writing. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation and interview techniques. In this study, it can be concluded that after carrying out a series of approaches to stimulate students by applying audio-visual concepts to writing experimental report texts, it can be concluded that the average pretest score is 71.5 and post-test is 80.28, thus it can be concluded that the audio-visual learning model has an effect on writing experimental report texts.
