THE USE OF NON-STANDARD LANGUAGE (SLANG LANGUAGE) IN THE NOVEL NO LOVE FOR AYA BY JOURNAL HANUM

Abstract


This research is entitled The Use of Non-standard Language (Slang) in the Novel Tiada Cinta untuk Aya by Jurnal Hanum. The problem to be studied in this research is the use of non-standard language (slang) in the novel Tiada Cinta untuk Aya by Jurnal Hanum. This research aims to determine the use of slang in novels. The method used is a descriptive analytical method with a structural approach. The novel No Love for Aya by Jurnal Hanum. The results of this research show that the novel Tiada Cinta untuk Aya contains many non-standard language terms or vocabulary (slang). This vocabulary is commonly used by Indonesian speakers in daily conversations and influences dialogue between characters in novels, one of which is the novel Tiada Cinta untuk Aya. This shows that the author conducted a text study so that the storyline in the novel touches the reader's soul because it corresponds to the reality of life.
