IMPLEMENTATION OF WAYANG BONGSANG MEDIA TO IMPROVE DEEP CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY TALKING FOR CLASS III STUDENTS AT SDN SUSUKAN 1

Abstract


This research is motivated by the desire of researchers to utilize Wayang Bongsang Media as a medium for learning Indonesian. The application of Bongsang Puppet Media aims to see an increase in Critical Thinking skills in students in class III at SDN Susukan 1 with the application of Bongsang Puppet Media. This study used the Quasi-Experiment Pretest-Posttest One Group method as the research design. Data samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Observation Sheets, Test Sheets, Questionnaire Sheets and Interviews are the instruments used in this study. Data analysis techniques were used with the Prerequisite Test, Normality Test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, then the Paired Samples T-Test, and the N-Gain Score Test, Analysis of the results of questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that there was an effect of using Wayang Bongsang Media to improve Critical Thinking skills in Storytelling in class III as shown by the results of the T-Test calculation obtained a sig value of (0.000) <0.05 then for the calculation results of the N-Gain Test score showed that the average value - an average of 76.6%. The results of the analysis of the wayang bongsang media response sheets obtained 59.29 positive responses and 40.72 responses to negative questions. so that it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on increasing Critical Thinking skills in students after the application of wayang bongsang media in the learning process for class III students at SDN Susukan 1
