THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ANTHROPOMETRY, FLEXIBILITY AND LIMB POWER WITH THE ACCURACY OF SMASH KEDENG SPORTS SEPAK TAKRAW IN ATHLETES IN SUKABUMI REGENCY

Abstract


The aim of this study is to find out a significant relationship between anthropometry, flexibility and strength ability with the ability to smash kedeng. The researcher used a quantitative method with a correlational descriptive approach.  The population in this study were Takraw athletes from Sukabumi Regency. There were 31 samples in this study using a total sampling technique. The data collection in this study used measurement techniques with tests. The results of this study showed that the anthropometry of the athletes in Sukabumi regency was minimum value = -6 and a maximum value = 8 so, the total value (Sum) = 38, mean = 1.23 and standard deviation = 2.704. Descriptive statistics on flexibility athletes in Sukabumi regency was minimum value = 8 and maximum value = 29, so, the total value (Sum) = 611, mean = 19.71 and standard deviation = 4.584. The value for the buffer power was minimum value = 28 and the maximum value = 72 so, the total value (Total) = 1380, the average = 44.51 and the standard deviation = 11,000. The accuracy of the smash kedeng on athletes was minimum value = -3 and maximum value = 5 so, the total value (Sum) = 63, mean = 2.03 and standard deviation = 2.183. Thus there is a significant relationship between anthropometry, flexibility and flexural strength with the accuracy of the smash kedeng in the takraw sport in Sukabumi regency athletes. The suggestions in this study for takraw athletes in Sukabumi regency, they should be increases their practice on the importance of anthropometry to maintain an ideal body with good flexibility and strong supporting muscle strength and well-trained smashes, especially in smash kedeng in sports achievements and must be able to improve their respective skills of athletes to support good performance.
